Injury Collision on the Western Kentucky Parkway

(Madisonville, KY) -- Rasheeda Mumford was operating a 2002 GMC Envoy west bound on the Western Kentucky Parkway. Ms. Mumford told police she fell asleep prior to the collision. The vehicle exited the left shoulder and traveled into the median. The vehicle continued into the median and struck a guardrail face of a bridge. The vehicle reentered the parkway and Ms. Mumford regained control of the vehicle and stopped in the west bound emergency lane. Rasheeda Mumford was transported to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Jamarion Mumford was not inured bu was transported to Muhlenberg Community Hospital for precautionary measure. Trooper Knight was assisted at the scene by Trooper Bob Winters, Muhlenberg Co. E.M.S., and Graham Volunteer Fire Department.
