KSP Post 2 S.W.A.T. (Shop with a Trooper)

Princeton, KY. � On Thursday, December 6, 2012, the Kentucky State Police Professional Association District 2 conducted its 16th annual "Shop with a Trooper" (SWAT) program.
Thirty-seven (37) children, their families, KSP troopers and KSP CVE officers met at the Area 2 Fire & Rescue Training Center in Princeton where everyone was treated to pizza and drinks courtesy of the Princeton Wal*Mart. After dinner, everyone was treated to ice cream courtesy of the Princeton Sonic.
Next was the shopping trip to the Princeton Wal*Mart where the troopers and the officers assisted the children and their families with the shopping. Several items of clothing were purchased including coats, jeans, shirts, shoes, hats, and gloves. Toys were also purchased.
The Kentucky State Police would like to thank the following for making this year's program such a success: Charbon Contracting LLC, Communications Workers of America Local 3312, David Criswell (manager Princeton Sonic), Allen Dixon (store manager Princeton Wal*Mart), Charles and Carolyn Foster, Kelly's Towing, Nortonville Baptist Church, Tom Toler, and those who wished to remain anonymous.
The following Post 2 personnel participated in the event: Lieutenant Lonnie Bell, Sergeant Greg Jones, Sergeant Trent Weaver, CVE Sergeant Del Miller, Trooper Ryan Fox, Shelby Fox, Detective Lonnie Kavanaugh, Trooper Chris King, Elizabeth King, CVE Officer Andrew McGregor, Trooper Stu Recke, Trooper Tim Sales, Trooper Ben Sawyer, Detective Scott Smith, Dispatch Shift Supervisor Chris Rogers, and KSP CPA Alumnus Glenn Sisk.
