Vehicle vs. Deer Injury Collision in Muhlenberg County

Graham, KY. (Muhlenberg County) -– The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury collision that occurred on the Western Kentucky Parkway, at approximately the 50 mile-marker, on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 12:16 p.m.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Thomas D. Swink, age 42 of Woodlawn, TN, was operating a 1999 Ford Econoline van eastbound on the WKP. The van was from First Baptist Church in Woodlawn, TN and was transporting twelve passengers. As the van was traveling eastbound, a deer entered the roadway. The van struck the deer.
One passenger, Kathy D. McGee, age 53 of Clarksville, TN, was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Trooper Jon McGehee conducted the investigation. Tpr. Jerrod Hearld, KSP CVE Sgt. Del Miller, the Graham Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
