Single-Vehicle Injury Collision on I-69

Princeton, KY. (Caldwell County) The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on Interstate 69 (formerly the Western KY Parkway) at the 19 mile-marker on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at approximately 6:15 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Devin Redmon, age 18 of Manchester, OH., was operating a 1992 Toyota pickup truck southbound on I-69 when the vehicle exited off the right shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Redmon overcorrected and lost control.

The vehicle traveled across both southbound lanes and struck the median. It continued across both northbound lanes and struck a guardrail. The vehicle traveled back across both northbound lanes and came to rest in the median.

Mr. Redmon, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Caldwell Medical Center for treatment. There were no passengers.

Trooper First Class Chris King conducted the investigation. Princeton Fire & Rescue and Caldwell County EMS assisted at the scene.
