Madisonville Man Injured in a Collision on US 41

Sebree, KY. (Webster County) – The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury collision that occurred on US 41, approximately 4 miles south of Sebree, on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at approximately 11:59 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Charles E. Gantt, age 65 of Madisonville, KY, was operating a 1997 Ford Probe northbound on US 41 when it appears that he lost consciousness. The vehicle exited the right shoulder of the roadway and struck a utility pole. It turned sideways and the rear, passenger door struck a tree. The vehicle came to rest against the tree.

Mr. Gantt was transported via ambulance to the Regional Medical Center for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Trooper Ben Sawyer investigated the collision. KSP CVE Sgt. Del Miller, Capt. D. Jones of the Webster County Sheriff’s Department, the Sebree Volunteer Fire Department, and Webster County EMS assisted at the scene.
