Marion Man Injured in a Collision on KY 293

Princeton, KY. (Caldwell County) – The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury collision that occurred on KY 293 South on Friday, September 7, 2012 at approximately 9:45 p.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Justine Haines, age 22 of Marion, KY, was operating a 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue northbound on KY 293 (South). It appears that the vehicle hydroplaned. It slid off the right side of the roadway. Ms. Haines attempted to correct, but was unsuccessful. The vehicle spun out of control and crossed the southbound lane. It exited the roadway and came to rest in a ditch facing north.
Ms. Haines was transported to the Caldwell County Hospital for treatment. She was wearing a seatbelt.
Trooper Jonathan Murphy investigated the collision. The Princeton Fire Department assisted at the scene.
