KSP Post 2 - Promotions

Madisonville, KY – On Friday, August 17, 2012, the Kentucky State Police announced the promotion of 56 officers throughout the state at a special ceremony held at the Capital Plaza Hotel in Frankfort.
KSP Sergeant Brenton Ford was promoted to lieutenant and remained assigned to Post 2 Madisonville. During his career, Lt. Ford has been assigned to Post 8 Morehead, Post 16 Henderson, Post 3 Bowling Green, and Post 2 Madisonville. He is a 1986 graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School and a 1997 graduate of Brescia College. A resident and native of Owensboro, Ford is a 13-year KSP veteran.
Trooper Dean Patterson was promoted to sergeant and transferred from Post 1 Mayfield to Post 2 Madisonville. During his career, Sgt. Patterson has held several positions at Post 1 including trooper, detective, and most recently, public affairs officer. He is a 2000 graduate of Graves County High School and a 2003 graduate of Paducah Community College. A resident of Mayfield and a native of Paducah, Patterson is a nine-year KSP veteran.
The Madisonville Post serves the following counties: Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Webster.
