Greenville Woman Hurt in a Collision on KY 181

Greenville, KY. (Muhlenberg County) The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury collision that occurred on KY 181, just south of Greenville, on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at approximately 5:43 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Patricia M. Watt, age 65 of Greenville, KY, was operating a 2005 Kia Sorrento southbound on KY 181. Ms. Watt advised that she "hit a slick spot on the road and lost control of the vehicle." The vehicle rotated and exited the roadway. It came to rest facing northbound in a ditch that runs parallel to KY 181.

Ms. Watt was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. Her passenger, Liam Finegan, age 11 of Greenville, KY, was not injured. Both subjects were wearing seatbelts.

Trooper Jonathan Murphy investigated the collision. Trooper Derek Smith, the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
