Fugitive Arrested in Arkansas

(Post 2 - Madisonville) –-Authorities in Arkansas have arrested Cindy L. Hutchinson. On Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at approximately 5:35 p.m. CST, officers from the Fort Smith Police Department (AR) arrested Ms. Hutchinson. She is currently lodged in the Sebastian County Detention Center with no bond. Her court appearance is scheduled for Monday, July 23 in Sebastian County. The case remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.

Crittenden County Death Investigation

Marion, KY. (Crittenden County) – The Kentucky State Police is investigating the death of an 89-year-old Marion resident.
On Monday, July 16, 2012, at approximately 8:27 p.m., the KSP Post 2 Madisonville received a call from the Marion Police Department in reference to a death investigation. Officers from the Marion Police Department had received a call to conduct a welfare check on a resident located at 229 East Depot Street. At approximately 8:20 p.m., officers gained entry into the residence. Once inside, they located the body of Leonard E. Roberts. The victim had been assaulted and appeared to have been stabbed. Crittenden County Coroner, Brad Gilbert, pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled for this morning at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville.
At the present time, the KSP has an active warrant on Cindy L. Hutchinson, age 50, for the charge of Receiving Stolen Property (Vehicle). Ms. Hutchinson is described as a white female, approximately 5'7" and weighs around 180 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes. Ms. Hutchinson was seen in the victim's vehicle prior to the arrival of MPD at the victim's residence. The victim's vehicle is a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier, blue in color, bearing KY registration plate 253 BZE.

Tim Sales, Tpr. Sean Wint, the Marion Police Department, Crittenden County EMS, and the Crittenden County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene.
