One Injured in a Vehicle Collision

Oak Grove, KY. (Christian County) The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle injury collision that occurred on Interstate 24, westbound at the 93 mile-marker, on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at approximately 8:00 a.m.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Patrick Jones, age 45 of Adams, TN, was operating a 2002 Ford F150 westbound on Interstate 24 when his vehicle hydroplaned. Mr. Jones lost control of his vehicle and it exited the right shoulder of the roadway. It came to rest on its driver's side off the right shoulder of the roadway.

Mr. Jones was transported via ambulance to the Blanchfield Army Community Hospital for treatment. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Trooper Luis Palmer conducted the investigation. The Oak Grove Police Department, Oak Grove Fire Department, and Oak Grove EMS assisted at the scene.
