Update to the Two Vehicle Crash on on KY-293 in Caldwell County

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- On Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 3:01 P.M., Mrs. Harp succumbed to her injuries at Vanderbilt University Hospital.

Two Vehicle Injury Crash on on KY-293 in Caldwell County
Date of News Release: 03/08/2012
(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Mr. Ross Kaiser and Mrs. Angela Harp were involved in a 2 vehicle injury accident on KY-293 at mile marker 9. Witnesses stated that Harp was traveling southbound when she lost control of her vehicle in the wet conditions and traveled into the northbound lane. Kaiser was traveling Northbound and attempted to avoid the collision but was unable to. The two vehicles collided head on. Mr. Kaiser's vehicle came to rest partially in the roadway facing northbound, Mrs. Harp's vehicle came to rest off the west shoulder of the roadway facing west. Mr. Kaiser was taken to Caldwell County Emergency Room where he was treated and released. Mrs. Harp was also taken to Caldwell County Emergency Room and later taken to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. Mrs. Harp's two children were treated and released from Caldwell County Emergency Room. Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident and both children were in child safety seats. Kentucky State Police were assisted by Caldwell County Sheriff's Department, Princeton Fire Department, and Caldwell County EMS.
