Muhlenberg County Felony Arrest

Greenville, KY. (Muhlenberg County) -- On Monday, February 27, 2012, at approximately 12:56 p.m., Trooper Craig Engler arrested Mitchell Chase Bowers, age 27 of Greenville, KY. Mr. Bowers was charged with Receiving Stolen Property Under $10,000 (D Felony) and lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. On Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at approximately 11:03 a.m., Trooper Engler charged Mr. Bowers with Burglary 3rd Degree (D Felony).

The charges stem from investigations by the KSP, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, and the Greenville Police Department. Recently, these agencies have investigated several theft and burglary complaints in the Greenville area.

During the course of the investigation, information led officers to Mr. Bowers's residence. Trooper Engler obtained a search warrant for his residence and executed it on February 27 at approximately 12:10 p.m. Upon executing the search warrant, officers located numerous stolen items inside his residence. The recovered property was returned to the owners.

The Greenville Police Department has also charged Mr. Bowers in connection with their investigations. At the present time, the Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department is pursuing charges against Mr. Bowers.

Mr. Bowers remains lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
