Hopkins County Felony Drug Arrest

(Hopkins County) -- On Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at approximately 9:48 p.m., Trooper Carlo Anderson and Hopkins County Deputy Sheriff Ryan Bailey responded to a residence on East Poplar Street in Nortonville to investigate an anonymous complaint of possible drug activity.
Upon arrival, the officers made contact with Roger Skimehorn Jr., age 33 of Nortonville, KY, and his wife, Brittany Skimehorn, age 26 of Nortonville, KY. The officers received consent to enter the residence. Once inside, officers located suspected methamphetamine, syringes, glass pipes, other items of drug paraphernalia, and a police scanner.
Social Services was contacted in reference to their two-year-old child being in the residence. The child was removed from the residence and placed into the custody of a family member.
Roger Skimehorn Jr. and Brittany Skimehorn were arrested and charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense (Meth)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Possession/Use of Radio That Sends/Receives Police Messages
- Endangering the Welfare of a Minor
Both were lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
