Two Vehicle Injury Collision in Christian County

Date of News Release: 01/10/2012

(Madisonville, Ky.) -- Timothy Hall, age 35 of Hopkinsville, KY, was operating a 2000 Volvo passenger car northbound on the Pennyrile Parkway. Jazmine Franklin, age 20 of Hopkinsville, KY, was operating a 2005 Buick SUV traveling behind Mr. Hall. Ms. Franklin's vehicle rear-ended Mr. Hall's vehicle causing it to exit the roadway and enter the median. Ms. Franklin's vehicle exited off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times. It came to rest upright.

Ms. Franklin was transported by ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. Mr. Hall was not injured, but was cited to court for no insurance. A passenger in Mr. Hall's vehicle, Jamie Hall, was transported by ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment.

Trooper Derek Smith investigated the crash that occurred on Monday, January 9, 2012 at approximately 9:16 p.m. Sergeant Jason Newby, Trooper Ryan Fox, Trooper Jeff Ayres, Hopkinsville Fire & Rescue, and Hopkinsville EMS assisted at the scene.
