Arlington Man Arrested on Assault Charges

(Bardwell, KY) -- At approximately 4:29 pm, the Kentucky State Police responded to a disturbance at 32 Front Street in Bardwell, KY. When units arrived on scene, Danny Malady, age 47, was receiving treatment from Carlisle County EMS. Mr. Malady had suffered a stab wound to his leg and was transported to Lourdes ER with critical injuries. After further investigation, units responded to 710 Cosby Road in Columbus and arrested James Grubbs of Arlington, age 38. Mr. Grubbs was lodged in the Ballard County Jail and was charged with Assault 1st Degree. The Bardwell Police Department and Carlisle County EMS assisted units at the scene. The investigation continues by Trooper Richie Wright.
