Injury Collision on US Highway 45 in Graves County

(Mayfield, KY) -- Ms. Deborah Hunt was traveling south on US Highway 45, approaching the entrance ramp to South -Purchase Parkway. Mr. Denny Opall had exited the Purchase Parkway and was turning left from the ramp onto Highway 45. Preliminary investigation revealed Ms. Hunt disregarded the stop light and continued through the intersection where she collided with the tractor trailer driven by Mr. Opall who had the right of way. Ms. Hunt was transported to Jackson Purchase Emergency Room for minor injuries and was also cited for Failure to Non-owner to Maintain Required Insurance, 1st Offense. Kentucky State Police was assisted on scene by Mayfield-Graves County EMS and Mayfield-Graves County Rescue.
