Mayfield Trooper Receives Impaired Driving Enforcement Award

(Hickory, KY) -- The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety recently held its annual Governor's Impaired Driving Enforcement Awards ceremony in Louisville. The event, which took place on December 5th, honored 197 officers from 164 law enforcement agencies from across the Commonwealth. Locally, a Kentucky State Police Trooper from Graves County was recognized for being the impaired driving enforcement leader for Kentucky State Police, Post 1. Trooper Cory Hamby was recognized for making 67 impaired driving arrests from October 1st, 2011 through September 30th, 2012. Trooper Hamby has been employed by the Agency since 2010 and is a native of Marion in Crittenden County. This is the second year Trooper Hamby has received this award.
