Injury Collision on KY 93 in Lyon County

Date of News Release: 12/01/2012

(Lyon County, KY) - Jesse Bealmear, was traveling south in a 1989 Chevrolet pick-on KY 93 coming into the Lamasco community. For reasons yet to be determined, Mr. Bealmear's vehicle left the right side of the roadway and traveled approximately 700 feet along the shoulder before impacting a tree. Operator Bealmear, suffered serious injuries, requiring him to be airlifted by PHI Air Medical to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Mr. Bealmear's passenger, James C. Campbell, was pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor in the wreck. Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by the Eddyville Fire Department, Lyon County EMS, Kuttawa Fire Department, the Lyon County Sheriff's Department, Lyon County Rescue, PHI Air Medical, and the Lyon Country Coroner. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Thomas Clifton.
