Marshall County Man injured in Collision

(Symsonia, Ky.) –- A Marshall County resident was injured in an early morning collision. Just before 6:00AM on Monday, September 17, 2012, Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle collision on KY 348 near the Marshall Graves County line. A preliminary investigation revealed a 1999 Dodge Pick up truck traveling westbound, operated by 25-year-old Robert Koch of Benton, KY ran off the right side of the roadway. Koch overcorrected his vehicle in an attempt to get back on the roadway, which resulted in the vehicle rolling over. Koch was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Koch was transported to Lourdes Hospital for injuries, where he is currently listed as critical but stable condition. Trooper Barry Rice was assisted on the scene by the Graves County Sheriff's Office, Mayfield EMS, and Symsonia Fire Department. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Rice.
