Three Arrested and Charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine

(MURRAY, KY) -- On September 14, 2012 the Kentucky State Police along with Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and Murray Police Department executed a search warrant at 1626 Hamilton Avenue in the city limits of Murray. Upon execution of the search warrant, an active meth lab was located in the residence, and troopers on the scene determined that the building needed to be evacuated. The Murray City Fire Department was requested and responded as a precaution. Hamilton Avenue had to be closed for several hours, while state police technicians had to dismantle and clean up the meth lab.
After the building was deemed safe to return, troopers and detectives resumed the search warrant execution, locating suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and other items used to make methamphetamine. Troopers also located approximately twenty (20) one-step methamphetamine labs at the residence.
As a result Sandra Pie, Gary Thorn, and Apollo Tolmie were each charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine-First Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Controlled Substance-First Degree, First Offense, and Wanton Endangerment –First Degree. All subjects were lodged in the Calloway County Jail. The Kentucky State Police was assisted by Murray City Police Department, Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force and Murray City Fire Department.
