Two Arrested in Graves County

(Mayfield, KY) -- Jamie Brown, 35, of Paducah was arrested by Kentucky State Police and charged with nine counts of Theft of Identity and nine counts of Obtaining Controlled Substance by Fraud. The Mayfield Police Department requested assistance from Kentucky State Police into an alleged identity theft complaint they had received from Gibson's Pharmacy. During the investigation, it was determined that Brown had called three Mayfield area pharmacies on several occasions and provided the name and DEA number of a local Nurse Practitioner and was able to obtain prescriptions for medication. Amanda Frick, 26, of Grand Rivers was also arrested in connection with this investigation for picking up the fraudulent prescriptions on August 8, 2012. She was charged with six counts of Obtaining Controlled Substance by Fraud, six counts of Forgery 2nd Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree, and Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. Both Brown and Frick were lodged in the Graves County Jail. The investigation continues by Trooper First Class Trevor Pervine.
