One Killed and One Injured a Motorcycle Collision on KY 272

Date of News Release: 07/03/2012

(Hickory, Ky.) -- Mr. Jeffrey Omen was west on US 68 approaching the intersection of KY 272. When Mr. Owen crest a hill he noticed westbound traffic was stopped due to a motorist waiting to turn onto KY 272. Mr. Omen applied the brakes which caused the motorcycle to start skidding and lay over onto its' side, throwing both occupants from the motorcycle. Mrs. Debra Omen was transported to Trigg County Hospital for severe head injuries and later flown to Nashville, TN. Mr. Omen was treated and released for minor head injuries and shoulder pain. Trooper Over was assisted at the scene by Trigg County Sheriff Department, Trigg County Rescue, and Trigg County EMS.

Kentucky State Police Mayfield was notified at 10:00 P.M. that Mrs. Omen passed away due to the injuries she sustained from the collision.
