Illinois Man Arrested for DUI

(Mayfield, KY) -- On Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 1:00 pm, the Kentucky State Police and Graves County Sheriff's Department received numerous complaints that a dark brown Cadillac was driving south on Highway 45 North at a high rate of speed. Units responded to the area, where Trooper Jody Cash located a vehicle matching the description, at a gas station. Other vehicles at the gas station confirmed that the vehicle had been speeding on Highway 45. The driver was identified as Robert McManus of Pingree Grove, Illinois. The driver was arrested for DUI 1st Offense (aggravated). The driver was found to be in possession of two stolen police IDs, a concealed weapon, and numerous drugs. The driver was also arrested for Receiving Stolen Property (Police ID), Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug (four counts), Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (Anabolic Steroid), Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (Amphetamine), and Prescription Controlled Substance not in Proper Container. Trooper Cash was assisted by Trooper Brian Hill, Trooper David Archer (canine), and the Graves County Sheriff's Department.
