Date of News Release: 05/23/2012

(Cuba, KY) Two Fulton County residents were injured after a motorcycle collision late Tuesday evening. Just before 9:00 PM on May 22nd, Kentucky State Police responded to the intersection of KY 303 (Cuba Road) and Waggoner Bottom Road in Graves County. A preliminary investigation revealed that the motorcycle, operated by 47-year-old Lowell Walker, was traveling north on KY 303 when, according to Walker, a deer entered his path. Walker stated that he slowed but was unable to avoid striking the deer. Walker and a passenger, 50-year-old Dorothia Huddleston, were thrown from the bike and landed on the roadway. Walker was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for a broken leg. Huddleston was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Both Walker and Huddleston were wearing protective headgear. State Police was assisted at the scene by the Graves County Sheriff's Office, Mayfield-Graves County EMS, and the Cuba Volunteer Fire Department. The investigation is ongoing by Trooper Thomas Clifton with KSP.
