Lyon County Collision Injures Three

Date of News Release: 04/27/2012

(Mayfield, Ky.) - Donna Seay was northbound on Jenkins Road. Jason Mullinix was southbound on Jenkins Road. Mr. Mullinix's vehicle and Ms. Seay's vehicle met on a hill crest and struck head on. Mr. Mullinix's vehicle left the roadway and overturned before coming to final rest. The passenger (Chris Mullinix) of Mr. Mullinix's vehicle was ejected from the vehicle and the driver was trapped in the vehicle. Jason Mullinix was extricated by his brother, Chris Mullinix. He was then airlifted from the scene by PHI to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. Chris Mullinix was transported to Caldwell County Hospital by Caldwell County EMS. Donna Seay was extricated by Lyon County Rescue Squad and airlifted from the scene by PHI to St. Mary's Hospital in Evansville, IN. Collie Huddleston was transported to Western Baptist Hospital by Lyon County EMS and then later transported to Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN by Mercy EMS. Jerry Seay, Josh Seay, and Todd Huddleston were not injured in the collision. Kentucky State Police was assisted by Eddyville Police Department, Eddyville Fire Department, Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Lyon County EMS, Lyon County Rescue Squad, Caldwell County EMS, and PHI.
