Post 16 Graduates Fourth Citizens Police Academy Class

(Owensboro, KY) -- On Thursday, December 13, 2012, the Kentucky State Police Post 16 Henderson graduated 17 local people from the post's Citizen's Police Academy. The classes were held at Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro (Daviess County), KY. The 11-week academy started on September 27, 2012 and concluded December 13, 2012.

The ceremony was held at Western Kentucky University-O Campus in Owensboro where Captain Robert Shoultz, Commander of Post 16-Henderson, was on hand to assist Trooper Corey King present the participants with their graduation certificates.

During the course of the 11-week academy, the participants learned about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, traffic stops, collision investigations, commercial vehicle enforcement, criminal investigations, drug investigations, dispatching, Trooper Island and special operations. Participants also took part in simulated traffic stops and a mock crime scene.
