Henderson Post 16 Citizens Police Academy

(Henderson, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police Post 16 - Henderson is now accepting applications for the 2012 Kentucky State Police Citizens Police Academy. The 11-week academy is slated to begin on September 27, 2012. Students will meet Thursdays from 6:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. where they will learn about the many facets of the Kentucky State Police including patrol, criminal investigations, and drug investigations. Students will also get to take part in simulated traffic stops and investigations.

The academy will be held at Kentucky Wesleyan College Campus in Owensboro. Applications can be obtained at the Kentucky State Police Post 16, kentuckystatepolice.org or by contacting TFC. Corey King at 270-826-3312 or email corey.king@ky.gov

Anyone 18 years of age with no criminal history is welcome to apply. There is no cost to attend. All applicants will be subject to a background check. (There are limited openings available).
