Update to the Body Found Floating in the Ohio River

(Henderson, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police has joined with the Evansville Police Department in investigating the death of the unidentified male. Although both agencies are considering the case to be suspicious, the Kentucky State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville has not released their findings.

Investigators with both agencies are still in the process of establishing the victim's identity.

Body Found Floating in the Ohio River

Date of News Release: 06/17/2012

(Henderson, KY) -- On June 17, 2012 the Kentucky State Police were notified of a body found floating in the Ohio River. State Police personnel and the Henderson County coroner were transported by boat to the scene where an unidentified body was recovered from the river. The case is currently under investigation by the Kentucky State Police and the Henderson County Coroner's Office. Assisting at the scene and with recovery was the Henderson County Rescue squad and the Evansville Fire Department.
