Three vehicle injury collision in Henderson County

Date of News Release: 01/24/2012

(Henderson, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police is working this collision as two (2) separate collisions based on the known circumstances. It was reported to Trooper Chris Armburst that Jennifer McGan was attempting to merge south onto US 41 from the US 60 interchange in her 2005 Freightliner school bus. For an unknown reason, Brandon Boone ran into the rear of McGan's bus with his 2003 Ford Mustang. As Boone and McGan were outside their vehicles exchanging information, David Gibson was also attempting to merge onto US 41 from US 60. Gibson failed to see the collision in time and made an aggressive attempt to avoid the first collision by swerving. Gibson lost control of his 2008 Honda and struck Brandon Boone. Boone was thrown into a ditch full of ice water. He was then transported to Methodist Hospital where his is in stable condition.

McGan drives for the Henderson County School Systems. She had 49 county students on-board. All were uninjured from this collision.

The investigation is continuing.
