Adair County Man Arrested for Assault

(Columbia, KY) – 18-year-old Kanissa'a Thompson of Columbia, KY has been arrested and charged with Assault, 2nd Degree. Post 15 Troopers arrested him today at 3:33 PM CST at a residence on Grady Loop Rd in Adair County. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred in the early a.m. hours of Sunday, December 9th when Thompson assaulted 24-year-old Dakota Meyer of Adair County. Meyer was treated and released at Westlake Hospital.

Thompson was lodged in the Adair County Jail. Tpr. Adam Likins is continuing to investigate.
