Update: Murder of Wendall "Gleason" Pyles

(Liberty, KY) – Post 15 Detectives arrested 53-year-old Anthony L. Byrd, of Dunnville, KY, this morning at 10:26 AM EDT following an indictment returned by the Casey County Grand Jury. Byrd was charged with Facilitation to Commit Murder and Hindering Prosecution as a result of the ongoing investigation into the murder of Wendall "Gleason" Pyles. Investigators anticipate more arrests will be made.

(Lebanon, KY) -- KSP Troopers and Detectives from Post 15 along with KSP Special Response Team members, assisted by deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Department, arrested William (Bobby) R. Rigdon tonight at 8:52 PM EDT, 3 miles north of Lebanon on St Rose Road. Mr. Rigdon was charged with Murder in the death of Wendall 'Gleason" Pyles who was shot and killed on Wednesday, September 26th, 2012. Rigdon was lodged in the Casey County Jail.

Elk Horn Man Arrested and Charged with Murder

(Campbellsville, KY) ?- On October 3, 2012, Detectives from Post 15 arrested David Salyers, age 59 of Elk Horn, KY. Salyers was charged with Complicity to Commit Murder and was lodged in the Taylor County Regional Jail.
This charge is a result of a week long investigation by Post 15 Detectives into the murder of Wendell "Gleason" Pyles, who was shot and killed Wednesday, September 26, 2012, while working at Tarter Gate Company in Dunnville, KY.
In the early morning hours of October 4, 2012, Post 15 Detectives and Troopers along with the Kentucky State Police Special Response Team executed a search warrant at Salyer's residence in rural Taylor County. Items seized during the search warrant are expected to lead to more charges and additional arrests in the near future.
