Post 14 2012 Kentucky State Police Shop with a Trooper

(Ashland, KY) –– On Sunday, December the 9th, the Kentucky State Police Post 14 conducted the 2012 "Shop with a Trooper". 41 children were selected from Boyd, Lawrence, Carter and Greenup Counties to participate in this event.

Lt. Randy McCarty shopping with a childThe selected children were given the opportunity to shop with Troopers and civilian staff members from the Kentucky State Police Post in Ashland. Tpr. T. Duvall shopping with a child At 1:00 P.M. on Sunday the children had lunch at the Cannonsburg Walmart before going shopping with a Trooper at the Cannonsburg Walmart. Each child received $150.00 to spend on items of their choosing. After shopping the children traveled to The Ashland Town Center where they met Santa, received a ride on The Blue and White Express Train and then finished the day at Orange Leaf Yogurt.
