Marijuana Trafficking Drug Arrest in Lawrence County

(Ashland, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested a Lawrence County resident after conducting an investigation into illegal drug activity by the suspect.

The Kentucky State Police received information that numerous packages containing several pounds of marijuana had been shipped from California to the residence of Steven A. Davis on Wheeler Branch Road in Blaine, KY.

On Friday December 7, 2012 Troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 14 Ashland made a controlled delivery of the intercepted marijuana to the residence of Mr. Davis. Search warrants were executed at the residence and several pounds of marijuana, firearms and drug paraphernalia items were seized at the residence.

Steven A Davis, age 39, of Blaine, KY was arrested, lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Jail and charged with Trafficking in Marijuana – 8oz to < 5 lbs – 1st Offense.

KSP Detectives are continuing the investigation.
