Injury Collision in Boyd County

(Ashland, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland is investigating a two vehicle collision that occurred on KY 180 at the intersection of the 185 westbound exit ramp in Boyd County, KY. The collision, which occurred around 224 pm, involved a passenger vehicle and a commercial vehicle.
Pamela Allbright-Cunnien, age 46, of Jackson, MI was operating a 2005 Freightliner travelling westbound on the 185 mm exit ramp. Shelia Morman, age 59, of Catlettsburg, KY was operating a 1999 Jeep Cherokee travelling westbound on KY 180. Allbright-Cunnien lost control, traveled through the intersection and impacted Morman.
Allbright-Cunnien was cited for the following charges: Disregarding a traffic control device and failure to produce insurance card.
Morman and a three year of age juvenile passenger were transported by Boyd EMS to King's Daughters Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. Both were treated and released.
Seatbelts were in use by both drivers and a proper child restraint was in use by the juvenile passenger. Alcohol is not suspected as a contributing factor.
Boyd County EMS, Cannonsburg Fire Department, Boyd County Sheriff's Department and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement assisted at the scene.
The collision is being investigated by Trooper Eric Gibson.
