Update: Human Skeletal Remains Located

(Ashland, KY)-- During a search of the scene a wallet was located which contained identification and additional credentials. At this time positive identification has not been made and is pending further examination by the Kentucky Medical Examiners Office. Additional details will be released as they become available.

Human Skeletal Remains Located

Date of News Release: 10/15/2012

(Ashland, KY)-- On Sunday October 14, 2012 The Kentucky State Police in Ashland received a complaint that human skeletal remains had been located in a secluded area of Grayson Lake near Clifty Creek. At this time positive identification has not been made and is pending further examination by the Kentucky Medical Examiners Office.

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, Carter County Sheriff’s Office, Grayson Volunteer Fire Department and Carter County Coroner's Office also responded and assisted.

Detective Ben Cramer is the investigating officer.
