Ashland Man Charged with Rape

(Ashland, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland is conducting an investigation into illegal sexual activity against a minor (female) from the Ashland area.

On Sunday July 22nd, 2012 the Kentucky State Police Post 14 received a report of illegal sexual contact between a 16 year of age female and a 28 year old Youth Shepherd at Hillcrest-Bruce Mission in Ashland. Interviews were conducted with the involved individuals and an arrest was made.

On Monday July the 23rd, 2012, Trooper Boarman arrested Nathanael Handloser., age 28, of 2500 Lexington Avenue, Ashland, KY. and lodged him in the Boyd County Detention Center.

He was charged with one count of:

Rape 3rd Degree

Trooper David Boarman is the lead investigator.
