Greenup County Man Arrested on Meth Charges

(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested a Greenup County resident for manufacturing methamphetamine in the area of Daniels Cemetery Road off of Whittier Road in Greenup, KY. On 7-9-2012, The Kentucky State Police received a tip of a suspected methamphetamine lab at the residence of the suspect, John H. Gullett, age 32 of Greenup, KY. Upon trooper's arrival, they located an active methamphetamine lab at the residence of Gullett. Another person at the scene attempted to flee the scene and was also arrested and charged with Fleeing and Evading 2nd Degree. He was identified as Danny Patton, age 30, of Greenup, KY.
Located at the scene were several precursors used to manufacture methamphetamine. Both subjects were lodged in the Greenup County Detention center.
Gullett was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st, Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursor, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 3 Bench Warrants for Failure To Appear.
Drug Enforcement Special Investigation also responded and assisted.
