Three Ashland Residents Arrested on Methamphetamine Charges

(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested three Ashland residents on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine at their residence. Through investigation, the Kentucky State Police responded to a residence on 29th street near Poage Elementary School in the city limits of Ashland, which was suspected of manufacturing methamphetamine. Upon arrival at the residence, troopers and deputies from the Boyd County Sheriff's Department located several precursors and ingredients to make methamphetamine as well as an active lab.
Three suspects inside the residence were arrested and taken to the Boyd County Detention Center. They were charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st Offense and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigation teams responded to the residence for the clean up process.
Two children, ages 2 and 8, were removed from the residence and placed in the care of Department of Community Based Services.
Trooper Shane Goodall is the lead investigator and was assisted by the Boyd County Sheriff's Department.
