Death Investigation Conducted In Breathitt County

(Hazard, KY) -- On October 6, 2012 Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard received a call that a vehicle was on fire on Hwy 1098 in the Southfork community of Breathitt County. The fire was extinguished and preliminary investigation indicated that there were two bodies located inside the vehicle. The bodies and the vehicle were removed and taken to the medical examiners office in Frankfort. A positive identification or cause of death has not yet been determined. The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police and more information to follow as it becomes available.
