Facebook Complaint Led to the Arrest of a Convicted Sex Offender

(Frankfort, KY) - The Frankfort Post received a complaint in Shelby County involving Facebook. The complaint was of a sexual nature involving a female juvenile. On Thursday, November 29, 2012, KSP Post 12 Internet Crimes against Children Detective Kevin Calhoon started an investigation.

The investigation led to a suspect on the Kentucky Sex Offender Registration (KSOR). On December 3, 2012 at approximately 3:30 pm, Detectives from the Frankfort Post executed a search warrant at a residence located at 304 Jail Hill Road in Shelbyville, KY. KSP seized evidence, handguns and other firearms from Anthony T. Bradford's residence.

At 4:23 pm Anthony T. Bradford, age 41, of Shelbyville, KY was arrested and lodged in the Shelby County Detention Center. He has been charged with, Registrant Prohibited from Using Social Networking Web Site Internet Messaging or Chat Room Program by Minor (Class A Misdemeanor), Distributing Obscene Matter to Minor 1st Offence (Class A Misdemeanor), Prohibited Use of Electronic Communication to Procure a Minor (Class D Felony), Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon (Class D Felony) and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon (Class D Felony).
