Date of News Release: 11/09/2012
(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On November 9, 2008 Mr. James "Jimmy" Duckett was found deceased in his home located at 5300 Rockbridge Road, Shelby County, KY. James Duckett's death has been ruled as a homicide.
The Kentucky State Police, Frankfort Post 12 has been investigating the murder of James Duckett for four years without making an arrest. KSP is hoping to re-introduce this atrocious case to the public with the hope that a citizen may have useful information in solving this case.
Not only was the murder of James Duckett senseless and tragic, it was conducted in his home in such an extremely violent manner it leads law enforcement to suspect the person responsible for this act has an uncontrollable violent behavior disorder or was in a very desperate frame of mind, and could still pose a significant risk to the public. After James Duckett was murdered, his ATM / Debit card was illegally used to make a cash withdraw from a Shelbyville bank drive through ATM around 3:00 am on November 9, 2008. The suspect was operating James Duckett's silver Dodge Pick-up that was stolen from his home.
There is a substaintial cash reward for information that helps solve this murder. If anyone has any helpful information they are encouraged to call the Kentucky State Police, Post 12 and request to speak with a detective. All calls will be held in strict confidentiality.
