Wolf Coal Woman Killed in a Collision in Shelby County

Date of News Release: 10/09/2012

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On October 9, 2012 at 9:09 am, the Shelby County Sheriff's Office and Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post responded to a two vehicle collision on US-60 at the intersection of KY-395.

A BFI garbage truck operated by Jamie Willard of Waddy, KY, was traveling west on US-60 approaching the KY-395 intersection. A 2008 Chevrolet passenger car being operated by Martha White was traveling north on KY-395, when she ran a stop sign and traveled into the path of the dump truck.

Martha White age 44, of Wolf Coal KY, was pronounced deceased at the collision scene by the Shelby County Coroner's Office. Seat belts were in uses and no alcohol or drugs are suspected at this time. The collision remains under investigation by the KSP Frankfort Post Collision Reconstruction team. The Frankfort Post was assisted by the Shelby County Sheriff's Office.

Kentucky State Police Post 12, which provides police coverage for Anderson, Fayette, Franklin, Scott, Shelby, Spencer and Woodford counties.
