Kentucky State Police Make an Arrest in Franklin County Shooting Investigation

Date of News Release: 03/16/2012

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Friday afternoon, March 16, 2012 Detectives from the Frankfort Post make an arrest in the Franklin County Shooting Investigation. Timothy O'Shea Johnson, age 25 of Danville, KY, has been charged with Assault 1st and Wanton Endangerment 1st. The Boyle County Sheriff's Department also executed a non related Bench Warrant on Johnson. He has been lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center. The Boyle County Sheriff's Office assisted KSP Frankfort Post in our investigation.

The KSP Frankfort Post is asking for the publics help in his investigation. Anyone with information about this shooting and car chase in Franklin County on Thursday night, March 15, 2012 is being asks to call the KSP Frankfort Post. Shooting Investigation

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Thursday, March 16, 2012, at 10:43 p.m., the Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post received a complaint of shots fired and vehicles chasing each other westbound on I-64 in Franklin County.

Our investigation has revealed that multiple occupants in two vehicles meet in a Franklin County in a parking lot off of US-127. A dispute occurred that led to a shooting followed by a high speed chase that ended at exit 43 on I-64, in Shelby County at the Waddy exit. One person in the vehicle was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The other unknown vehicle left the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation by the KSP Frankfort Post.
