Anderson County Man Charged with Murder

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- On Monday, March 5, 2012 at 1:40 PM the Lawrenceburg Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a shooting at a residence on Ballard Road. The victim Modena S. Sutton Branson, age 50, of Lawrenceburg, KY was pronounced deceased at the residence by the Anderson County Coroner. Timothy Branson, age 48, of Lawrenceburg, KY was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with a gun shot wound.
On Tuesday, March 5, 2012 a KSP investigations lead to the indictment of Timothy Branson by the Anderson County Grand Jury. The indictment charges Branson with one count of Murder (Domestic Violence) and two counts of Wanton Endangerment. The investigation revealed that Branson shot his wife, and later sustained an apparent self inflicted gun shot wound.
On Thursday, March 08, 2012 Branson was released from the UK Medical Center and taken to the KSP Frankfort Post were the indictment was served. He will be lodged in the Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange, KY. His bond has been set at one million dollars.

Anderson County Death Investigation

(Post 12 Frankfort) -- The Kentucky State Police Frankfort Post is conducting a death investigation in Anderson County. On Monday, March 5, 2012 at 1:40 PM the Lawrenceburg Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a shooting at a residence on Ballard Road. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office and the Kentucky State Police responded and located a male subject with a gun shot wound and a female deceased. The male subject was taken to the UK Hospital in Lexington. The Anderson County Coroner pronounced the female deceased at the scene. The shooting is believed to be domestic related. The investigation is ongoing by Kentucky State Police.
