Traffic Crash with Injury in McCreary County

(LONDON, KY.) –– On Saturday, September 15, 2012 at approximately 3:03 PM, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report of a three vehicle traffic crash on US 27, two miles north of Whitley City, in McCreary County.
Upon arrival Trooper Craig Reed determined that a 1998, green, Plymouth, Neon, passenger car operated by Sherri G. Jackson, 48, of Whitley City, was traveling northbound on US 27 when it crossed the centerline into the southbound lane and struck a 2004, red, Chevrolet, pickup, operated by Milford B. Creekmore, 35, of Pine Knot. A vehicle part that was torn from the Chevrolet, pickup, truck during the collision then struck a southbound 1994, silver, Ford, Mustang operated by Keith A. Davis, 41, of Stearns.
Jackson, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN for treatment of her injuries.
Creekmore nor his passenger, Charles Walters, 58, of Pine Knot, received any injuries and were seat belted at the time of the collision. Davis, who was wearing his seat belt, was also uninjured.
Drug and / or alcohol usage was suspected as a contributing factor in the crash.
Trooper Reed is in charge of the investigation.
