New Post Commander at KSP Post 11, London

(London, KY.) –- The Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London welcomes Captain P. J. Burnett as the new commander.
Captain Burnett, a 17-year veteran, began his career with the Kentucky State Police in 1995 as a member of cadet class 73. Upon graduation from the KSP Academy he was assigned to the KSP Post 10, Harlan and in 2001 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and assigned to the London Post. In 2003 he transferred to the Harlan post where he remained until being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2005, he remained at Harlan Post as a Lieutenant. On August 16, 2012 he was promoted to the rank of Captain and assigned to the KSP Post 11, London as the new Post Commander.
Captain Burnett has received the following awards during his career:
KSP Post 10, Harlan Trooper of the Year in 1997, Governor's DUI Award recipient for 1997 and 1998, KSP Commissioner's Award in 2003 and the KSP Bravery Award in 2008.
Captain Burnett, a native of Bell County, KY resides there with his wife Linda and two sons.
