One Injured in a Collision on Hammonds Fork Road

(LONDON, KY.) –- On Friday, July 13, 2012 at approximately 10:10 AM, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report of a single vehicle traffic crash on Hammonds Fork Road in Rockcastle County.
Upon arrival Trooper Delzie Kelly determined that a 2003, Chevrolet, Trailblazer, SUV operated by James B. Harrison, 31, of McKee, was traveling southbound on Hammonds Fork Road when it skidded on the wet roadway and traveled over an embankment. Trooper Kelly determined the crash happened at about 11 PM on Thursday night and that Harrison climbed the embankment at approximately 8 AM on Friday.
Harrison, who was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, was transported by a passing motorist to a Madison County EMS Station where he was then transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment of multiple injuries.
No drug or alcohol usage was suspected.
Trooper Kelly is in charge of the investigation.
