(Manchester, KY.) –- On Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at approximately 1709 hours, Post 11 London was contacted by Clay County E-911 Dispatch Center, in reference to requesting assistance with a two vehicle collision with a possible fatality. Trooper Justin Oliver U/407 was dispatched to this scene, located at approximately the 200 block of Highway 149 in Manchester, KY. Through investigation it was determined Unit 1, a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am passenger car, operated by Albert Henson age 47 of Manchester, was traveling South on Hwy 149. Unit 2 a 1993 Chevrolet C/1500 pickup, operated by Bobby J. Estep age 45 of Manchester, was traveling North on Hwy 149. The front of Unit 2 collided with the front passenger side of Unit 1 causing severe damage to both Units. The operator of Unit 2, Bobby Estep, was not injured and did not request medical treatment. The operator of Unit 1, Albert Henson, suffered life threatening injuries and was air lifted off the scene to the University of Kentucky Hospital. This collision will be investigated by Trooper Justin Oliver U/407 and was assisted on scene by Clay Sheriff's Department, Clay County EMS, and Lockard's Creek Fire Department.
