Burglary Investigation and Arrest in Wayne County

(London, KY.) - On Monday, March 19, 2012 at approximately 1145 AM, KSP Trooper Parrish Baker, Monticello Police Sergeant Tony Morris and Monticello Police Officer Gordon Stephens responded to a Burglary in progress complaint at a vacant business on South Main Street in Monticello.

Upon arrival, at the former Stearns Ford building, officers discovered two men unlawfully removing metal and copper from the building.

Arrested at the scene were Chris Shelton, 37 and his brother Tracy Shelton, 31, both of Monticello, on the charges of Burglary 3rd Degree and bench warrants for failure to pay fines.

Both were lodged in the Wayne County Jail.

KSP Trooper Parrish Baker is in charge of the investigation and was assisted by Monticello Police Sergeant Tony Morris and Monticello Police Officer Gordon Stephens.
