Theft Investigation and Arrest in Laurel County

(London, KY.) –- On Wednesday, February 15, 2012 the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report of the theft of metal material from a property on Keller Road in Laurel County.
The victim, who was out of town at the time of the theft, reported that approximately $14,000 of metal material had been removed from his property. KSP Post 11 Detective Richie Baxter began an investigation into the incident and discovered the metal had been sold to local scrap yards by three Laurel County men.
On March 01, 2012 Detective Baxter arrested James Rice, Jr., 37, of London, and Bobby J. Shepherd, 33, of London, on the charge of Theft by Unlawful Taking. On March 02, 2012 the third person, Max D. Fletcher, 30, of East Bernstadt, was arrested on the charge of Theft by Unlawful Taking.
Detective Baxter is in charge of the investigation.
